My Role

My role as a teacher is to position myself so all students have a clear line of sight and can see the components of each skill I demonstrate. I will provide instant, individualized feedback to help students correct mistakes before habits are formed.  My goal is to create a learning environment where every student feels included, supported, and capable of succes. 

Integration of Technology 

I incorporate interactive slides and learning modules to support visual learners and reinforce key concepts. I use digital timers to structure rotations and maintain smooth pacing during lessons. Using technology to support formative assessment, such as digital exit tickets and quick-response polls to check understanding. I use Google Classroom to streamline communication, announcements, and assignment submissions, and to improve overall student organization. Focusing on using audio tools such as background beats or rhythm cues to support timing, coordination, and engagement in movement activities.

Teacher's Trust

I understand that students learn best when they feel safe, respected, and confident their teacher genuinely cares for their well-being. Teachers earn trust by consistently showing integrity, fairness, and professionalism in every interaction with students, families, and colleagues. I will make sure to follow through on commitments, which will help build trust with students and demonstrates that my words and actions are reliable. I take responsibility for addressing conflicts or challenges promptly and respectfully, ensuring students feel supported rather than judged. 

Making an impact outside of the classroom

I will actively contribute to the school community by supporting extracurricular activities, events, and initiatives that promote student well-being. Building meaningful relationships with students outside of class, which strengthens trust, motivation, and engagement during instruction. I support schoolwide health and wellness by helping organize activity days and celebration events. Volunteering time to assist with supervision during recess, lunch periods, or after-school programs to foster a safe and positive environment. I will communicate consistently with families through email updates, newsletters, and classroom platforms to keep them informed about learning goals.
